New Projects Association

About Us

The New Projects Association is a voluntary community association providing free arts activity to enhance creative and cultural experiences for children and young people in the South East of England. Our members are passionate about seeking opportunities for children and young people to develop resilience, confidence, ambition and a sense of adventure that will prepare them for life.

Our team of project leaders consist of qualified teachers and performing arts practitioners currently teaching in (Primary and Secondary) schools and children’s stage schools. We also have industry professionals in our team. All bring experience of working with children and young people.

NPA Projects

Each project is created in response to feedback from schools, parents, children’s groups, community partners and local artists. Every project is unique, each with a different duration and theme. You may like to read about our projects – see our facebook page!

Safeguarding

Safeguarding and the well-being of children and young people is our number one priority. All NPA members, project leaders, project assistants and chaperones have up to date enhanced CRB checks.

Aims of the group

• To provide support for young people (aged Early Years – 18) in the South East of England to engage in a broad range of performance arts and cultural activity.

• To support performance opportunities for young people in local community events and festivals.

• Support will be open to all; NPA operates on a fully inclusive policy.

• To enable young people to perform together with confidence and to experience high levels of enjoyment.

• To provide the opportunity for young people to take leadership roles within project activity.

• To promote participation and performance through local community activity and drawing upon local community expertise; i.e. local artists and arts organisations.
